第一次世界大战时，英国政府明令禁止参加战争的国民警卫队进行网球活动。但战后，人们很快忘记了战争的残酷，回到绿草如茵的野外，挥拍把球击来击去。
上世纪90年代开始，英国又出现了一股网球热潮，大量资金涌入这项运动。在英国各地涌现了大批建造豪华场馆，聘请顶尖教练和运动员的资金雄厚的“新贵”。

My favorite part here is Serena saying good bye at last， what she said then will touch anyone. To have been able to see her play in real life makes me happy forever. Her spirit and love made so many people around the world stronger and happier too. Who doesn't want some kind of magic from someone they respect most in their lives？ I am looking forward to seeing her win other championships again next year！ She still got 4 more Grand Slam title to reach 24～ 〜 We need one more day with serena now！ In case no matter how much years pass by someday，we may never forget these days we spent right beside her on court and outside．
